The Law and You
To ride a motorcycle on British roads, you must pass the appropriate government driving tests. Below are some tables that will help you work out the best route for you. Which ever way you need, we at CYCLECRAFT will help you safely get on the road on two wheels.

		Mopeds
		50cc. max speed 30mph

	Provisional licence with moped entitlement		Fully qualified to ride a moped on public roads without L-plates. Allowed to carry a pillion passenger

Motorcycles

Discard L-plates and carry a pillion passenger. Ride any motorcycle up to 125cc and power output up to 11kw.	I	Discard L-plates and carry passenger. Restricted to motorcycle of up to 25kw or power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.16W/kg for 2 years. Afterwards may ride any machine.
